Thank you Mrs. Darnley for coming and making pancakes with the students. The students had fun measuring pancake mix and water to make their pancakes. We did some pancake activities as well. The students thought the BEST part of the day was eating pancakes.
Fireman Mike Kurpa came yesterday to talk about fire safety. We learned how to get out of our houses, what our fire alarms sound like, where we are to meet our family, the phone number to call (911). We were able to see and hear what a fireman looks like and would sound like in our house. He also gave each student a sticker, tattoo and a safety book. The students invited their families into our class to see our butterflies. It was really nice to hear that students are talking about the butterflies at home. Thanks for the visit. Thank you Ajeesan for the orange! Our butterflies love fruit juice. On Friday, June 12 from 2:00 pm until the end of the day the kindergarten's will be celebrating Water Day. Please make sure you pack sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, towel, and bathing suits, T-shirts for your child. The girls will wear bathing suits with swim shorts and a T-shirt and the boys will wear bathing suit shorts with a T-shirt. If you child attends the after school day care, please make sure they have a plastic bag for their wet clothing.
Most of caterpillars have all changed into chrysalis. We have moved them into a net. It was very exciting to come into the school on Friday and see that we now have some butterflies. There were 8 when we left the school.
